Spots in the Hill Region took prime marks in this year’s Texas Travel Awards.
The Texas Travel Awards looked at 4 regions — arts and society, people, foodies and out of doors adventures — and requested people to post their most loved locations for every single.
A panel of judges, like KSAT’s David Elder, then made the decision on the winners that “represent uniquely Texas locations and experiences worthy of any traveler’s itinerary,” in accordance to its site.
The desired destination of the year went to South Padre Island, but several of the other group winners ended up in the Hill Country.
For instance, Gruene Hall, Texas’ oldest continually operating dance corridor, gained 3 of the classes — iconic tourist attraction, stay tunes location and put to dance.
But these winners, like Schlitterbahn, Natural Bridge Caverns and the Stars and Stripes Drive-In, aren’t just for travelers — they can be for locals as well.
The destinations can be for San Antonio citizens who are on the lookout for staycation prospects or speedy outdoors visits.
