On the heels of a great 10- period, the Gardner 8th quality boys vacation basketball group captured the Central Mass. Youth Basketball League Division 2 championship with a dominant 62-30 victory about Wachusett.
The title was the fruits of a playoff run which also involved victories more than Littleton (62-27) and Lunenburg (47-44).
As CYMBL champs, Gardner represented the league at the Division 2 Condition Event in Foxboro the place the staff lost a challenging-fought contest to West Bridgewater, 52-44, in advance of ripping off victories above Warren/Briston (59-39), Grafton (54-37), and Belmont (50-47) to reach the two-day tournament’s closing sport.
